I’m now retired, spending my time on some of my favourite hobbies painting and photography, as well as indulging myself in playing the guitar and piano.
I’ve been living in the village of Ivinghoe in the Chilterns for some 30 years, I’m a creative artist who takes inspiration from the beautiful local country side, including places such as Ivinghoe Beacon and Ashridge woods. I’ve spent a large part of my life working in London, as a digital artist in the creative arts industry. Working for design agencies, BBC, magazines such as the RadioTimes, and national newspapers.
I started painting several years ago at the local village hall, doing art classes once a week with Mr Gary Spencer, I still continue to go, because their is so much to learn, I find it a enjoyable day.
I create my art works in oil, watercolour and acrylics both on paper or canvas. My work is varied, from local landscape paintings through to abstract art and portraiture.
I am passionate about my creativity, I enjoy being bold with colour and content, I like to experiment with materials and try new ideas with texture and brush strokes whilst working on a painting. I try to be fearless with the brush and express my own ideas on paper
I’m also an experienced photographer and have been involved in photography since my school days, I’ve had several pictures published in books and magazines, I like to express myself, with photography and digital art techniques that I’ve learnt over a lifetime, producing interesting pictures from landscape to portrait and street photography.
I hope you enjoy seeing my work
